I’m hanging out, getting some reading in on a Sunday, but also taking a moment to glare at my virtual and the actual stack of books on my “to read” list. And like everything else lately, I’m stressing over how much time I do or don’t have, but it will stop because I must do what I can and stay focused while I’m doing it! (Pep talk to me by me:)…in other words, today I’m reading!

Since November 1, I have spent a minimum of five hours a day writing, and/or editing one of two books: my Nano project or my romantic suspense (a finalist in the 2013 Four Seasons Windy City RWA Chapter contest:). In between, I also am keeping up with my reading. So today, I thought I’d share a few things — the video Laura Kaye created for her new HARD INK series (I have an early copy of Hard As It Gets and love it!), as well as what else is up with moi. It’s been a while since I posted here, so I thought might as well, right!

Currently, I’m reading Twisted by Laura Griffin and Hard As It Gets by Laura Kaye. I should call this the “Laura” day, maybe?

I’m also in a book club created by a pop culture group I belong to – Phauxcon. We read Heartsick by Chelsea Cain in October and The Chancellor’s Manuscript by Robert Ludlum is up for November.

On the non-fiction front (for research purposes, mostly)…I’m reading The Internet Police by Nate Anderson and Police Procedure & Investigation: A Guide of Writers by Lee Lofland.

Earlier in the week, I had two blog posts on the Waterworld Mermaid blog–check them out below:

Contemporary Romance Author Sugar Jamison Swims with the Mermaids

A “Too Many Books, Too Little Time” Blog Post: Have You Read Any African American Historical Romances Lately?

So that’s my week in review:)! Visit and/or try some of the good books I am recommending here, and check out the Waterworld Mermaids blog, lots of good posts that focus on the writer’s life as well as book recommendations.
