Good morning Sunday! And happy holiday! It's that time of week again — Six Sentence Sunday. I'm still working with excerpts from my WIP The Vampire Lust Club. Yes, it is another urban fantasy with vampires, shapeshifters, and even politicians! But not in this scene. Here the hero and heroine are undercover and get a chance to hang in Las Vegas. It's a post-apocalayptic futuristic tale about a vampire detective with a special gift and a human beat cop who just won't get out of her way.
“You’re always at war with this, that or the other.” Michael came back to the bed and sat down next to her. “You don’t let things just happen.”
“What things do you want me to let happen?” Casey kicked off her boots and scooted toward the center of the bed. “Vampire things or human things?"
Rather short and to the point here. But don't forget to go visit Six Sentence Sunday and read other Six Sentence contributions.
It still manages to say a lot about her. Well done!
I'm thinking maybe he means human things. Good six!
I love urban fantasies–vampires and shapeshifters. Good Six. Makes me want to know more.

Ah yes, those not content to just 'let things happen'–and human things can be just as appalling as vampire things. Great passage.
