It took three days for me to recover from a week of solid, insane work that is not about to stop for another month. It is exactly what I expected, and I’m not complaining about the work. For the past 13 years, May and June have been my crunch period on the J.O.B. (and I’m thankful to have had such a consistent string of crunching to report:)! But the juggling of this J.O.B, my other J.O.B – pre-published writer girl — and the other J.O.B, healthy eating and exercising pre-published writer girl — is a lot of J.O.B.S. to handle.

But over this long holiday weekend, what allowed me to turn the corner and reign in my three JOBS so I could focus on writing were three little things – and I suggest all of them if you’re looking to keep your sanity when the world starts to get too busy: read a good book by J.R. Ward (at least that’s the author I’m reading this weekend:); read a good craft book (How to Write a Damn Good Novel) and play around with Pinterest (but jeez, be careful, that is a slippery slope – but also a damn lovely ride!).

Today, I will dabble in all three JOBS, but wanted to give you a couple of recs for today.

Reading – J.R. Ward’s Dark Lover (and yes, I’m behind in this series, right?)
Reading – How to Write a Damn Good Novel by James N. Frey

But the Pinterest page that gets my Best Pinterest Page of the weekend Prize (a mention in my blog post:) belongs to author Darnyda Jones. Seriously, it’s inspirational and filled with goodness.

Are you pinning? If you are please comment below – I think I’m following a ton of folks, but let me know – I am loving the pinning (and visit my page – it’s a baby page, but I’m growing fast!).
