Happy Six Sentence Sunday morning. Signing in from Philly after a fantastic two days at Phauxcon! We are a small group of pop culture, sci-fi, television geeks, and we had a great time talking about books, Joss Whedon and Dr. Who. In honor, my excerpt today is from one of my stories inspired by my love of all things Joss. It’s from my manuscript, The Vampire Lust Club, and the two main characters, detectives, are questioning Kenny McNamara, a Senator’s personal assistant, who insists upon making tea.

“You don’t need fresh water if you boil it, silly girl.” McNamara waved his finger as if scolding a child. “Disease can be avoided if you heat the water. Ever hear of science?” Then he pursed his lips. “You know, you can’t get sick anyway. You’re a vampire.”

Check out the other six sentence sunday entries! And have a great day.
