Today’s excerpt is from a short story (free read) I wrote for the Waterworld Mermaid’s ghost story’s month (this month!)…It’s called The Waiting Room and you can read the entire story beginning October 17.

Hunching forward, she made herself small, unthreatening. “I am not here to hurt you. I want to help.”

His voice rose in horror. “Stop talking. Just stop talking.”
