Yes, the rumors are true. The gang over at Six Sentence Sunday are hanging up their shingles (cliche alert!). It’s been a blast, and I’m sure many folks will continue to use the hashtag, etc., but the official website to find all of the goodness will be no more! But thanks so much to the women over there for their creation! It’s been fun.

This is from my manuscript for Gideon, a story about a vampire who is struggling with a promise he made to a witch.

A strong breeze whipped across the lakefront.

Macy kept stride with Gideon, her footfalls sinking into the snow two by two, while he took one. She didn’t complain about his pace. Just kept walking behind him, silent.

It was nearly midnight and at the lakefront in winter there weren’t many pedestrians, but she knew Gideon wasn’t concerned about human interruptions.

The vampires would be waiting for them beneath the viaduct just off the beach near McCormick Place. If city government knew how many vampires lived amidst its cement pillars, the number of vanishing tourist wouldn’t be a mystery just another reason to enforce curfew.

Spend a few minutes today visiting the other Six Sentence Sunday participants! And visit here next Sunday for Something New!
