stfa-225I had the pleasure of meeting Alexandra Sokoloff, award winning best selling author of dark suspense, last month when I attended the Heather Graham Writers for New Orleans conference. I’ll blog about my fantastic experiences there in the near future. But today, I’m starting a new blog series for Monday’s only – called Too Many Blogs Too Little Time. Since I wander around the Internet searching, researching, or just looking around, I find some really good sh*t, and so, I decided it’s time to share.

Some of you may be familiar with Ms. Sokoloff, but if you aren’t, take a moment to visit her blog. If you write fiction, novels or screenplays, she’s talking to you!

Her current blog is a lecture series you’d find in a master’s class on creative writing. She’s examining the well worn, frequently used as an example of structure and character arc film, The Wizard of Oz. If you believe you’ve heard it all, or that you don’t need to be reminded of how perfectly this film used the core elements of good storytelling – than I am not putting you on my next holiday list for fun facts (I know, quite a weak threat:). Anyway, please check her out!
